I 'm working on the mass excel data refining. All the abbreviates need to be replaced in their original look. Those abbreviates are different format, like "St", "St."or "ST", I have to find all of them and replace with "Street". Sounds easy, but not true. If you simply look up "St" / "ST", you may also find words which including that string, for example, "Study".
Tips:
1, Since every Street has a name before it, to find "St" or "ST", just put a space before it when use Ctrl+H, say " St" / " ST". This step could avoid words in the cell which start with "St"
2, Remember to check "Match case"
3, Replace with " Street"
4, Then you will find some "Streetreet"s, don't worry, try Ctrl+H again to find all of them
5, Replace with "Street"
Done!
